Located in Marie Byrd Land in the Ames Range on the W. slope at the summit of Mount Kaufmann 5 meters lower than the highest point and approximately 460 meters NNW of scarpe, unmonumented snow station.

Survey mark - Whiskey bottle buried in snow.

Surveyed on 16 November 1967.

Horizontal Datum - Position based on the Astronomic Position of Snoopy Astro determined during the 1966-67 Season.

Vertical Datum - Mean sea level
