Located on the SW part of Alexander Island at the base of Beethoven Penninsula approximately 16 km NE of Mount Borodin on the E most nunatak of the E group of Franck Nunataks, monumented station.

Survey mark - Cartridge case wedged into crack in rock designated "FRANCK".

Surveyed on 13 February 1976.

Horizontal Datum - WGS 72/Knight Adjustment 1988, RMS error 11 m.

Vertical Datum - Corrected geodetic heights to the geoid using NASA GEM 10 geoid model.
