Located on Siple Island at the W end of on the second knoll E of the extreme SW end of Lovill Bluff, monumented station.
Survey mark - Standard USGS tablet wired to spike driven onto crack in bedrock, stamped "SIPLE NO 1 1983-1984".
Station ZIMMERMAN 1991-92 is set in the vecinity of SIPLE NO 1 1983-84. Ground crew unable to recover spike and tablet that identified the position of SIPLE NO 1 and a new monumented station was set.
Surveyed on 22 February 1984.
