Located on the S. central side of Thurston Island approximately 28 km
N. of Carpenter Island , approximately 10 km NE of Mount Dowling, and approximately
5 km NW of a large unnamed nunatak and S. of large crevasse field, monumented
station.
Survey mark - Standard USGS tablet set in drill hole at the W. edge
of a line of boulders at the E. side of a snow field in large flat top boulder,
stamped "DIANE".
Surveyed on 6 December 1968.
Horizontal Datum - Position based on the Astronomic Position of Camp
II determined during the 1968-69 Season.
Vertical Datum - Mean sea level
