Located at the W central edge of the Jones Mountains at the base of the Avalanche Ridge approximately 1 km W of Pillsbury tower, approximately 65 meters S of the edge of a vertical slope, and 1.5 meters N of a 1 meter high rock cairn, monumented station.
Survey mark - Standard USGS tablet set in drill hole in rock outcrop of basaltic rubble, stamped "GRETA 1968-1969".
Surveyed on 19 January 1969.
Horizontal Datum - Position based on the Astronomic Position of Camp II determined during the 1968-69 Season.
Vertical Datum - Mean sea level
