Located in Palmer Land at the head of the Meinardus Glacier approximately
33 km NNE of the Toth Nunataks, approximately 32 km WNW of Mt. Barkow, and
23 km SE of Schoofs Nunatak on the E peak of twin peak nunatak on the NE-most
nunatak in the Ferguson Nunataks, monumented station.
Survey mark - Standard USGS tablet set in drill hole in a 6 x 3 cm brownish-grey
rock projecting 3 cm above ground, stamped "JOACHIM 1970-1971".
Surveyed on 14 January, 1971.
